A Knitting Binge

binge [binj]
noun: a short period devoted to indulging in an activity to excess.

knitting binge [knit.ing. binj] noun
: what I did last weekend.

After purchasing Interweave's Fall Knit magazine while waiting for the pharmacy last week,
I thought that maybe I would try one of their patterns--Rosamund's Cardigan.

And by "try,"
I mean that I knit for five days straight until I completed it.

I was a machine.
Eventually I had to take ibuprofen because my shoulders ached from knitting overkill.

My husband called me "spinster" more than once,
and was quite unhappy that I was so consumed.

But then I finished it, and all was well with the world.
Because after attempting Five cardigan patterns, this really was THE ONE that worked! Hip Hip Hooray!

I can't wait to knit another one.

But maybe I'll give it a few days.
