Summer Dress Sewing Project

I confess that I've had this sewing project stashed in my closet for a while, but since the summer is waning, I thought I'd get a little more wear out of this dress before it gets chilly.

The pattern for this pink sheath, which I sewed a few weeks ago, is just a modification of my Montenegro Red Dress from last spring.

Hence one of the things I enjoy most about sewing:
repurposing a pattern over and over. You can create entirely different looks just by switching the fabrics and modifying the details.

In fact, I am really excited to use this pattern to make a breezy, silky dress for a fall wedding I'm attendi
ng in October. I can't wait to see how it turns out with three-quarter sleeves, a collar and ties at the waist!

But for now I'll just enjoy this one while it's still warm enough to wear!

I hope you all enjoy your summer weekend!
