Great Craft Ideas from How About Orange

Jessica Jones writes one of my most favorite DIY design blogs, How About Orange.  There you can find all kinds of posts on projects, gift ideas, links, and more!

I am thrilled that she has been surfing some of the do-it-yourself project gift ideas, and has complied some great lists for readers to check out.  For instance, in her "gifts to make: for babies and kids," she points to a great blog tutorial on A Mingled Yarn for making a homemade modern diaper bag (no Winnie the Pooh in sight!).

Or make some custom silhouettes of your friend's babies (or your own!) using this how-to from Design Sponge.  Or more stuffed animals (I'm really into stuffed animals this week...) from these Canadian Living instructions.  Please visit How About Orange's post to read more!

For those of us without kiddos, Jessica also posted on "gifts to make: for the home."  My favorite was the Lotta Jansdotter wall organizer (probably because, as you might know, I love Lotta!).  But the storage cubes are also a great project idea (and extremely useful).

Again, thanks to Jessica at How About Orange for these great ideas.  And happy crafting!
Check back in later today to read about some alternative ideas on the holidays (featured in the latest issue of Sunset magazine), and again tomorrow for another Saturday Sussie!
